Re: Bob is modifying my cherries!

I'm starting to have some withdrawal. Bob has had my amps for seven weeks. I have sent him two emails to check on the progress but have not heard from him. :(

The Bob master works in mysterious ways, when he was building my set of Cherries
from the email from him to say they where finished, and him shipping them
was just over 6 weeks.
Time from placing order and plugging them in for the 1st time, just under 4 months.

Hope you get them back soon, I don't know what I would do without some Cherries to play with.

That makes me feel a little better. I don't mind waiting for them, just wish he would communicate a little better on the time frame involved. I sent him a email three weeks ago and didn't hear anything so I sent him another one two days ago. Hopefully I didnt irritate him, won't send him any more.

Re: Bob is modifying my cherries!

Got a reply from bobs COO Ulises Hubbard saying bob has been busy and he will try to get a time frame for me. Let him know I was appreciative for him doing these for me and thanked him for the update.

Bob still has not licked the back problem, and that's slowed him down quite a bit

Re: Bob is modifying my cherries!

Got a message from bob this morning saying my amps were completed. He wanted to know how I wanted them signed. Do I have him personalize them to me or just sign his name only. I feel the personalization hurts the value. What do you think?

Thats a tough question and it could go either way, but most likely personalization should hurt value. If you put "Modified by Bob Carver" with the date it could sell to anyone. Thats my .02 for what its worth.

I would get them personalized as its very easy to remove the personalization and just leave the signature.
To remove use any car polish, works like a charm on the gold pens Bob uses.

Re: Bob is modifying my cherries!

I asked him to just sign one of the transformer covers. Thought just the simple autograph would look classy. I did however ask him to sign in silver, not gold since everything on the amps are silver and chrome.

Re: Bob is modifying my cherries!

I have a entire stack of Carver gear that has needed to be repaired for a decade now.

Hate to send it to another State but I haven't had any luck here in Washington with Carver or Rita since around 1995

The magnetic field amps still work......the preamp sort of....and the only thing that plays music is the FM with those annoying channel buttons that have been sticking for a couple decades.

ALS......just sit here......CD player.....just sits here........no TT.....that works......Phase Linear preamp needs repair and as old as it is the caps probably all need to be replaced.

I played the FM loud for a couple minutes but KZOK knew I was there and only played crap I hate so I turned it off and mowed my 3 acre lawn instead :-({|=
