In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.

Yup. Doors are closed for good.

Thanks OB1, I know that some more shops have been mentioned for Canada, but I can't find them. Any help will be appreciated. :-k

Got it. Thanks!

[EDIT:] Many things have happened since this thread was put into place. All recent, open shops are now on the first post of this thread. Continue reading for a slice of history but keep in mind that some shop locations and contact information were collected from this thread......but not all of them. They they have all been collected from Carver fans throughout this forum on various threads and from other forums.

Can't say I'd feel very comfortable sending anything to anyone other than Rolland... Besides, what are all these guys using for pars ??? I know MOST of tha parts Carver used were OEM, and Rolland won't sell parts to any other shop. So I wonder what they are putting in instead?!?!

Re: All known Carver repair shops list is right here....

I'm sitting here in Connecticut with three pieces of great Carver seperates that are in need of repair. I would hate heading into New York. Does anyone have a lead on someone reputable in the Connecticut area who could resurrect a nice TFM-45 and two preamp\tuners? I'm lost.

Re: All known Carver repair shops list is right here....

What you see is what'cha got. The only reputable shop with a lot of feedback so far is Rolland at High Tech Audio out in Washington State. If you happen to find something that we are unaware of, please get back to us with the contact info. and whether or not your experience was good or bad. That's the best we can do at this point.

Re: All known Carver repair shops list is right here....

I started this in another thread, but was asked to post in this one as well.

AVL Professional
3706 Airport Way South
Seattle, WA 98134
(206) 285-7767
www.avlprofessional.com

I got this information from their site (so hopefully it's correct!). The guy there used to work for Bob Carver for years and he seemed pretty knowledgeable about all things Carver. Hope this helps!

Re: All known Carver repair shops list is right here....

James, we have to figure something out with this not being able to update a thread [post] thing. To much hassle to PM you and then tell you where to put the info in alphabetical order by section. ](*,) Just like some of the members decisions have not been the best......

Know what I'm sayin'? This update should have taken one minute.

Oh, thank you MC Perk.
