Did Carver ever make a black faced CD Player, 19" wide?

To me, the epitome of audiophile is whether or not the systems looks really cool.

I am near y deaf anyway from working around weapons development for too long.

Of course. I want the best one that fits my criteria.

Yes, Carver has prodiced many models in blank with 19" rack handles. Check eBay from time to time, i'm certain you will find one.

I have a black, 19", rack handled, Carver TL-3300 I am toying with the idea of selling. Original box, remote, and owners manual too.

Yes. I have a CD Player Model SD/A-400. The problem with these players now is that they are not supported by any one. I need a replcement chip for this player and cannot get it . The chip was made by Sanyo ; #LC 6538 4814. The response from Sanyo is simply that this chip is no longer manufactured or supported, and they cannot advise on a substitute.
This is a shame because my CD Player is in good condition apart from this defective chip

Try calling Carver Service at 360 862 1742 and ask them if they could contact the company Carver sends the CD players to for repair has the part you need. They may want to do the repair work and not sell parts but it never hurts to ask. At least you would know if they had the part before you sent it in for fixing.
