Anaconda Speaker Cables

Well the cable came in, and I had just enough of the nylon braiding left from one of my model projects. The connectors should be in from China by the end of the week I hope, and I still need to get some 1/2" and 1" heatshrink.

These are worthy of being connected to the Lightstar amps.
Each finished cable will weight about 25 pounds.

GREAT GOOGAMOOGA! That'll cost as much to ship as a Sunfire amp!

Re: Anaconda Speaker Cables

Hong Kong must be pretty far away huh ....
It took long enough for the banana/spade connectors to show up.

Too bad no one makes a 4ga banana/spade connector.
I have to drill out the connector, and silver solder the cables in instead of using the supplied set screws.
Once I drill out the connector, there isn't enough meat left for the set screws to get a good enough bite.

No big deal really. I was thinking about having a custon connector made, but not this time around... maybe later.

Re: Anaconda Speaker Cables

not yet.... maybe after I get them done....
I can't give up all my secrets :-&

It's not welding cable... I thought about it, and did not like the look or feel of the shielding on it.
I got the 1st sample soldered in yesterday.

I have everything I need except for the braiding I want for the cables. I am thinking about using smaller braid on each cable, and then braiding the 4 together.

We braided the cables together the other night, and it looks really cool, and is MUCH more flexable this way. I keep thinking and changing my mind as I go.
