Bringing a legend back to life.
That's right guys, we are about to start our own production of the legendary Carver Silver-7 Tube monoblock amplifiers. With Bob on board, and graciously lending us his genius, this will be the 1st time a Carver product has ever been produced outside of the original Carver Corp.
We will be building small production runs of these beauties. They will of course be of the original Carver quality, and specs.
Cosmetically, the only difference that will be seen will be the name on the front, it will say CARVERaudio instead of CARVER.

He`s making the chassis on his CNC router, then off for the brakes, welds, and automotive painting.

Very cool. Hope it turns out well. What do you think the cost of doing this will be?
Some cool Carver stuff!

Re: CARVERaudio Silver-7 Tube Monoblock Amplifiers
That's Awesome! Maybe you can answer a question for me? What is up with the name "CarverAudio"? What I mean is; The interconnects on e-bay say CarverAudio, now these new amp's or remastered amp's will say "CarverAudio"? Is this becoming a patented brand that will become as famous as Carver and Sunfire in the near future? And who is the CEO? And do all the members here within a certain cut off date (CarverAudio.com) get a kick back or royalties because were members? LOL! That was a good one huh? haha.
Thanks

Re: CARVERaudio Silver-7 Tube Monoblock Amplifiers
Nice- now I really have to start saving some bucks for gear......WOW!
Re: CARVERaudio Silver-7 Tube Monoblock Amplifiers
We have no real idea what the finished cost will be yet, we still have quite a few things to deal with.
The best ballpark I can give right now is somewhere between $16,000 and $25,000 a pair. Unfortunately, they are not a cheap product, to buy, or to build.
These were some of the best tube amps ever built, and it's a shame, poor management of Carver Corp, Bob leaving, cut their production so short.
The power rating will be the same as the originals between 425-450w @ 8 ohms
They are also be 4 and 2 ohm stable.
The transformers... we have a couple different suppliers we are looking into having them make by.
Silver-7 amplifiers will all come stock with Shuguang KT-88 tubes.
We will also offer:
Silver-7z Which will come with the upgraded Shuguang KT-88z tubes.
Jag....
The "CARVERaudio" name
Well, my father and I had talked about it, and we had to come up with something... and already having the CARVERaudio.com site and name. With most of the things we are working on are an extension of the original Carver, we figured it would be a nice gesture to carry on bob's Legacy. After talking to Bob about it, he liked the idea of turning the CARVERaudio name, into a new brand. So we are.

You do need to get a registered trademark ® for the name, or someone else can use it to impersonate you and sell crap. I like the looks of CARVERaudio®. Kinda reminds me of Radio Shack's logo.

It should sound like it isn't there!

Re: CARVERaudio Silver-7 Tube Monoblock Amplifiers
While you undoubtedly will want to register the trademark (®), you should immediately begin using the suffix, "TM" following the name, e.g., CarverAudioTM (actually, the "TM" is typically superscripted) to designate specified use. This is a legally binding use, according to our patent attorneys.
