Re: CARVERaudio Silver-7 Tube Monoblock Amplifiers
OK -
I am for good audio.
Back a couple of years, I bought a "carver" sub off AMAZON. I really wanted to enjoy it, but it was crap. I replaced the speaker with a JBL, and then it was OK. Last year I gave it to my brother just to get rid of it.
Putting CARVER on an item means nothing to me.
I hope you do it well, as I am always ready to upgrade.
I remain skeptical, but certainly hope you blow me away.

You do realize that these amps are going to run about $30K and are in an entirely different league than what you are use to, right!?!OconeeOrange wrote:

Political Correctness...defined
A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
In a recent press conference, President Obama remarked, "If I had a city, it would look just like Detroit."

OconeeOrange, it sounds like you got snookered into one of those Phoenix Gold "Carver" subs. If it was a Night Shadow ( as far as I know, the only sub produced by Bob under the real joint Carver/ Sunfire name) you would not have that JADED opinion.

Gunter the wonder dog is watching you...

I will post a pic after my steaks are grilled! I have a ton of Carver stuff including the M500t's,two C4000's, a C1, 2 TL-3200's and some others I can't think of. I will have to look in the closet!
Re: CARVERaudio Silver-7 Tube Monoblock Amplifiers
Sorry, this is the only pic I have without digging out the camera, loading the pics on my laptop, then to photobucket and finally here. I will take some better pics later and post them to the appropriate thread later. I got lots of Carver. I'm using six of the M500T amps bridged in this rack, two more in my bedroom and two in the closet, Just in case!

The wall behind it has been cut out into the closet in the next room, it has a louvered door that vents into the closet, it runs nice and cool, air flows right through it.
